My Story

Meet Lola - approximately 10 months old, female, 40 pounds, mixed breed. Lola was too young to have puppies! Lola and all her 9 puppies were surrendered to us locally and we provided Lola with emergency care for mastitis at the time of surrender. She suffered needlessly - spay and neuter your pets! Lola is out of the hospital and now under our care and we are accepting applications for her forever home - her life to begin! All of her puppies are also available for adoption on our website. Lola is currently located in Cobble Hill in a temporary foster home only - so we are looking for another foster or foster-to-adopt home for her by the 6th of August. Lola is recovering from her mastitis and is healing well. She is scheduled to be spayed on Aug 15 with our vet in Duncan.  Lola is the sweetest dog you can meet. She is also the cutest button! Good with everyone, kids, dogs and cats too! She’s great with other dogs once introductions are over. She’s shy upon meeting them and is very submissive, but loves her trusted dog buddies !  Lola is kind and goofy and really young and will need someone to be patient with her, not get frustrated, she’s still a baby and needs some structure. She’s stuck to her foster mama like glue, follows her everywhere and only feels confidence to eat when foster mom stays in the room with her.  At only 10 months old, Lola is still a puppy and unfortunately did not receive any training or guidance.  It would be great if she could have a confident doggy friend in the home to give her more confidence!  We believe that she has border collie or another herding breed in her mix.  If you think you are the perfect match for Lola and would like to discuss her further with foster mom, please fill out an adoption application. If you only want to help out and foster Lola until she finds her forever home, please fill out a foster application. Both applications are available on our website here www.nadrs.org/adopt  - click under Lola's picture and it will bring you to the application. Only approved applicants can meet our available dogs as they are all cared for in private foster homes. We are a foster-based dog rescue and do not have a public shelter building.
