LOLA

LADY LOLA is a one year old female mix that weighs 38 lbs. Lola came to us as part of a "family unit" (See Larry, Travis & Taylor available for adoption also). Their elderly owner got in way over his head with too many dogs. We are not sure what her breed mix is? Most likely, it would come back "Super Mutt". The dogs were kept as outside pets yet miraculously, were very eager for human attention. Lola is plenty young enough to help her with her social skills. Leaving her back yard and the pack of dogs she was accustomed to was scary but she's doing great. Our dedicated volunteers started her transition with leash, crate and house training. It took a bit, but Lola got the hang of it. Due to their efforts, we were able to move her into a foster home where she is continuing to thrive! Lola says "Look at me, look at me! all curled up in a dog bed by the fireplace!" Lola will need a quiet, yet supportive home to continue with her progress. We are recommending an adult home with owners who have the time and patience to help her continue to "bloom". Her health is excellent and once she gets to know you, she is quite affectionate.
