Hello, my name is Lita and I am sooooo happy to be getting the help I need from the kind folks at the shelter. I had a home with my owners, but they lost their home. Of course they had to move away, but when they left, me and my friend Reta were left in the yard watching the car tail lights leave the driveway. We were hoping they would return, but we knew the furniture was moved out and the house was empty. We stayed in the backyard where we have spent our entire lives. When the kind deputy found us we were hungry, covered in fleas, and of course heartworm positive. We are resting and gaining weight in a private facility who was kind enough to open their doors to some of the pets with no place else to go. Someone will contact you and set up a time that you could meet me. Before I can go to your home I will need to be vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. The shelter will also make arrangements for me to be treated for heartworms. I sure hope that someone will speak up for me because I know I have a ton of love to give to that special family who will take a chance on me.
