Update for Lily, It's been a year since Lily entered our program and allot has changed for the better with her fear issues. Lily is now approx 3 yrs old, and is a very happy girl. While she is still sometimes leary of men, she usually warms up nicely after a little time. Lily LOVES children is completely reliable in our home, housebroken, affectionate and ABSOLUTELY requires a fenced yard.. Lily is a beatiful 2 yr old Great Dane that was given up when her owner was forced to move. Lily was one of four dogs and the regulation for their County is 3 dogs, max. Lily LOVES children and has grown very attached to our 11 yr old grandson. SInce Lily has lived with a single mom and her children, it seems easiest to understand how Lily adjusts well to women after only a few moments. However, Lily is extremely frightened and very leary of men. It has taken Lily two weeks to take a treat from my husband. Lily is fine with other dogs, both male and female, an does well with our birds,.We are not sure about cats, however it is believed that she would be fine. Lily is becoming very comfortable in our home and is just now showing her true personality, which is very affectionate and playful. Lily is housebroken, just been spayed and brought current on all vaccinations and will be micro-chipped. Lily desperately needs a home that will love and nurture her.
