Donate to the PALS Doggy Digs Fund!
The Poweshiek Animal League Shelter is raising funds for a dog housing expansion at the shelter.
Money raised will enable construction of a 30 by 50 foot addition, which will house PALS dogs. It
will include new indoor and outdoor kennels, and will give dogs freedom to come in and out of the
building, all while staying safely contained.
Not only will this greatly benefit the dogs, but it will also benefit the cats, as the cat room will
be moved to the current dog room, giving much more space for playtime. The cat room will be converted
into a much needed isolation room.
Simply PayPal to [email protected] or mail your check to PALS, PO Box 123, Grinnell, IA 50112 - note that your donation is for the Doggy Digs Fund!
THANK YOU!!

UPDATE Jan 24, 09 - Sweet Lilly is still here at the shelter! We can't believe no one has asked her to adopt them yet, but we wanted to be sure to tell you that she has blossomed into such a beautiful and sweet young lady who will be a happy and gracious addition to anyone's family! She is full-grown now, and at a good weight, at about 40 pounds, is keeping her kennel clean, and is a kind and loving little girl with expressive dark eyes. Please call or e-mail PALS about her!
Hi I'm Lilly and I'm ready to come home!! Do you have a home? Lucky you, cuz I don't have one yet. Maybe I could come live with you, I promise I'll try my very bestest to be good. I'm keeping my kennel clean here and I learned how to walk on a leash and I've gotten to meet all kinds of nice people who come and help out here at the shelter, and I love them all. But, I'm still stuck here.
When I first came to PALS, I was just about 6 months old and super-skinny, you can see that in some of the pikchurs there. I weighed 21.3 pounds and the dogtor said that it really appeared that I had not eaten in a long time and was at least 10 lbs underweight for my age. So the PALS people kept me warm and kept the good food coming and all that is in the past for me now, and they pawmised me that there is a very special fambly looking for me right now, one who will love me and keep me and feed me yummy food and buy my toys and never-ever let me go!!
Lilly's adoption donation is $95 which includes her spay, deworming, shots, and microchipping. Please call or e-mail the PALS contact information located below to find out more about making this sweetheart a part of your family!
