Hi there, my name is Lilly and I am a tiny 7 lb Chihuahua mix, about 2 years old, and I found my way into a San Antonio Animal Shelter after being attacked by a dog and needed emergency care for some puncture wounds. I also have a cloudy right eye resulting from an older injury, and may have some limited vision, but does not require treatment. This is the trouble with being a tiny dog left outdoors to fend for herself. It’s scary! I need human parents to look out for me, feed me, and let me snuggle beside them in bed at night, under the blankets, safe and cozy and loved. I am a very friendly girl with lots of “zoom” and boundless enthusiasm. I’m shy when I first meet people until I deem them as loveable, and despite my earlier situation with another dog, I am still friendly with other dogs. My favorite pastimes are playing with stuffed animals, chewing on Yak chews, and hanging out with my people, but not always in that order. I’m just happy to be loved and cared for, so everything else is a bonus for me. I’m a good girl, already housebroken and I know how to use a potty pad when necessary. I’m not in love with sleeping or staying in a kennel, but I tolerate it without freaking out. I will walk on a leash and itty-bitty harness with just a bit of encouragement, and I don't mind going for a ride in a car. Now that I am completely healed, bandages off, and playtime resumed, I am ready to get this party started and find a real forever family!
