Lil D

Introducing the one, the only, Lil D! Does it stand for delight? Or does it stand for diablo? Well, that all depends on you. Lil D is a 6 lbs, teacup Chihuahua that’s around 2 years old. He traveled to CO by way of Texas. When he arrived, he spent some time in a local shelter where he was quite scared and intimidated by his surroundings. They reached out for our help to get Lil D into a foster home where we’ve had the pleasure of watching him settle in and relax. Lil D loves to sunbathe, eat snacks, and even sometimes likes to cuddle. He is NOT a fan of being woken up or startled while he’s sleeping. Lil D wakes up very angrily and for this reason we recommend a home without young children. He’s crate trained and finds comfort in his crate. He also tends to use a potty pad if no one is available to let him outside when nature calls. While your first instinct is to pick this boy up and snuggle him and carry him everywhere, you must refrain and wait until he’s ready for you to do so. Lil D is fine with dogs and is presently sharing his foster home with a few larger ones. He doesn’t interact with them much, but we feel like he may enjoy a home with another smaller dog a bit more.
