LIBBY

Meet Libby! Libby is a very energetic 2-year old mixed breed dog with lots of love to give. She loves to play and run so a fenced in backyard would be ideal. She is crate trained and welcomes you with a smile and a very wiggly butt when you come in the door. Libby is still very puppyish and loves to pounce on the toy she is going after, especially stuffed animals. But it won’t take long for the stuffing to be all over the floor unless you catch her when the hole first starts. Fetch is one of her favorite games. We are still working on the “drop-it” command, which she only seems to remember when there is a treat to receive! Libby is great in car rides and loves going on daily walks. Exercise is a must for this energetic little pup! She is trained to walk on a treadmill which makes exercising her easier in rain/snow.

Currently the foster parents work too long of days to give Libby the proper exercise and daily activity she needs. She is a friendly dog but due to her size and rough play, she would be better suited for a home without young children. She may be better off as an only dog in the house but has gotten along with other dogs at family gatherings. Libby is crate trained, house broken and knows sit, down and stay commands. She also knows back up (to give you enough room to open the door) and wait (to sit for a shorter period of time than stay) until she is told it is okay to exit. Although she tries to cheat sometimes as she gets very excited to go out for a walk around the neighborhood! We haven’t cat tested her but she loves to chase furry animals in the backyard.

Libby would love to be in a home that is ready to have a fun, loving but high energy dog with an enthusiastic personality! Can she fit in your home?
