When I walked into the waiting arms of two Safe Harbor volunteers on a frigid afternoon after a Good Samaritan found me wandering in a busy intersection, it was like warmest, sunniest day you can imagine! I had a big, raw gash on my little leg, was emaciated at only 36 pounds and I learned those black spots on my ears were frostbite. Brrrr . . . I was cold and so hungry, but excited to know I’d found a warm, caring “safe harbor”.
Life is definitely good for me now! The vet thinks I’m about 10 months old and that I have a smidge of something in my heritage that gives me some adorable light tan freckles. My foster mom has fattened me up to a perfect 52 pounds, my leg has healed just fine and the frostbite is a memory.
I’m an affectionate, playful girl who’s always ready with a kiss and a wag. I sleep curled up in my own little bed right next to my foster mom and prefer to get up at a civilized 7:45 AM. We love going on walks and to the dog park together – other dogs are very fun! So far I know sit and to come when called, but live to please you and learn all you can teach me. I’m house trained, crate trained, respect your things and stay off the furniture unless invited. My favorite thing is to be with you and to go on any kind of outing. I love my toys too!
A home where someone can give me the love and attention throughout the day an affectionate, playful puppy-girl like me craves would be perfect. Yep, life is good for me now and could only be better if I were your little girl forever!
