Update on Leo -- Leo is doing FANTASTIC! He weighed in at 30lbs on Monday! Leo had sugery to remove all his skin tags and he is looking great. Thanks to all who have donated for his care and recovery! He is a really special boy and really is a super find! *** Update -- Leo was neutered a few weeks ago. He is doing great. What a wonderful dog. He has started to play with the other fosters and is content to lay in the sun for hours on end. Leo is so sweet and very low maintenance he just likes a few minutes of your time a day and then goes back to just hanging out! ***** Leo was surrendered to the shelter by his owners because they could no longer care for him. He was kept in a chicken wire pen in the back yard and fed dollar store cat food and Ol Roy, which made him scratch all his hair off.......This poor beagle boy avoided the gas chamber because the local HS pulled him. He wasn't out of the woods yet....because of his condition the HS was unable to care for him. Leo was hw positive and almost completely naked......RescuedMe stepped in and raised the funds necessary to get this guy well! Leo is finishing up his hw treatment and has grown most of his hair back. He is on a special diet because he is allergic to most all commercial foods and has a severe flea allergy. Leo is probably one of the best dogs out there. He is proving to be a very sweet and loving little guy. He is 7 years old and still playful. Leo likes to go on walks and has lots of friends at the dog park. He is unaware that there was ever anything wrong and is a joy to have around.
