Leila

Leila is a 3 year old friendly, affectionate and playful young female with lots of energy and a love of treats. She has gone through obedience training and is very treat motivated which makes her easy to train and has proven to be very smart. She is good with other dogs, however, she is dominant due to her strong personality, therefore, she would be better suited to a home with male dogs or as the only dog in the household. She is very people-friendly and loves to cuddle up on the couch with her humans for a movie night. Leila does resource guard her toys but is easily redirected. She loves to play and run around with her friends and is always the first one to want to play. She is an all-around great dog and anyone would be lucky to have her in their lives. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information. 2022 Benefactor Adoption Fee Scale: Benefactor Puppies under 12 months - $550 Benefactor Dogs over 12 months - $450 *Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures.
