My Story

Requirements: -Layla must be placed with a dog that has compatible energy (medium to high) -If there are children in the home, they must be respectful of a dog's boundaries -Layla's home must have a fully secured fenced yard (no apartments) Pup-sonality: Play hard, love harder! Hi! I'm Layla! If you are looking for a high-energy lovebug, you found her! I run fast and use all of my 33 lbs when I'm playing. I love to play with humans, but especially with other dogs. I will even share my toys with them. When it comes time to chill, I will become your best little snuggle buddy. I will press myself up against your, leg, neck, hand, back, anywhere I can just be touching you. I love to cuddle, get belly rubs, ear scritches, and I even like my grooming time. I do not use a crate and am a very good girl when left alone, although that hasn't been for very long yet. I love car rides and wear my seatbelt perfectly. I am still working on my house-training, but I am learning quickly. I will let you know that I need to go outside, but sometimes I can't quite make it in time. I know basic commands like stay, come, sit, down, wait, and back up. I walk well on my leash, but if I see a squirrel, I might need a reminder not to chase them. I love my toys and sometimes run around with them in my mouth. If it's not the right time for toys, or if you're going to throw it for me, I will totally let you have it. I'm also a superior fly catcher, I will keep your home fly-free while I practice my hunting skills. I am friendly with pretty much everybody and I just love all of the excitement of life. If you're looking for a smart, energetic pup with ample snuggle skills, then I am the gal for you! Medical Note: Layla has been given Pro Heart 12 (this medication protects against heartworm disease for 12 months) on December 8, 2023 and therefore only requires Nexguard each month for flea/tick prevention for 12 months post-injection. After 12 months, she will require a new prescription of Nexguard and Heartguard or Advantage Multi for year-round ongoing preventative treatment.
