Lavender is a sweet, gentle soul who is learning how to navigate the big world around her. Despite her shyness, she is gradually discovering her confidence and bravery. She thrives in the company of other dogs and loves having furry friends to guide her. Lavender enjoys cozy naps on the couch, preferably next to one of her foster siblings or her human. She loves to sit on the deck and watch the world go by, taking in all the sights and sounds. She has also discovered the joy of destuffing her stuffed toys and can spend hours happily engaged in this fun activity. Lavender is still very timid outside the home, but with ongoing positive reinforcement training, we know she'll continue to open up and feel more comfortable out in the world. She's looking for a home that can provide her with the patience and support she needs to gradually build her confidence in new environments, and with a confident dog pal to help her feel more comfortable. Lavender has a special way of showing her love-by giving gentle, affectionate kisses to those she trusts. Her sweet kisses are her way of saying "thank you" for your patience and love. OTAT requires that all dogs 6 months and under be enrolled in a positive reinforcement training program within 2 weeks of their adoption at their adopter's expense. Lavender's adoption fee is $350. She is spayed, up to date on core vaccines appropriate for her age, and microchipped. She will need a heartworm test at 6-7 months of age, at the adopter's expense. *** Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program.
