MEET LASZLO....a petite (16 lbs), 4-5 yr old Scottish Terrier, whose past is heartbreaking, but whose future is hopeful and bright! While Laszlo might be small, he has a big heart! He was found in a dog park by a woman who noticed him sitting on a blanket with a dish of food, and thought "how nice, his owner took him for a picnic" -- until she came back the next day, and obscurely enough, Laszlo was still sitting there -- empty food dish and now-soggy blanket -- patiently waiting for his human, who never returned. Who could do this to a helpless animal? His coat was rough, infested with fleas; his skin scaly, his hunger desperate, his potty training skills lacking. But after a good bath, flea treatment, lots of cuddling and a couple weeks of regular, nourishing meals, Laszlo is turning into a happy, shiny, tail-up Scottie who loves to run and plays like mad with dogs of all sizes and shapes. When he first arrived, he was understandably shell-shocked. He cowered whenever he was approached, and although he seemed to like other dogs, he didn't play. He submitted to anyone - even a six-month-old puppy! Now, only two weeks later, he acts like a normal, busy dog, and we haven't seen any "accidents" in quite some time. Luckily, the vet says there was no lasting damage -- he is a healthy, happy little man. Laszlo needs the consistency of a stable home and the opportunity to play with another dog. He loves to wrestle with friends his own size, but he also snuggles with the "big guys" in his foster home!! So, your other dog could be anywhere from teacup to giant!! We had originally said no kids, because he seemed so listless and fearful, but scratch that - we're guessing the "new" Laszlo would be an engaging companion for children (over 8 yrs please). Laszlo will need exercise, grooming, high-quality food and a home that will absolutely be forever and always. No dog needs to be abandoned once, no less twice. Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

We hold our adoption events most every Sunday from 10am - 3pm at My Pet Naturally (12001 W. Pico Blvd., West LA 90064).. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!!
