Lambchop

Meet Lamb Chop. When Lamb Chop (affectionately known as Misty MO) was given to us by a shelter in Missouri, we knew that she wasn't a Westie, but she was somewhat white and had a badly injured leg, so we took her into rescue. She looked a lot like a lamb, which is where she got her name. We thought her leg was broken, as it just sort of hung from her hip, but when the dogtor checked her over, he discovered a bullet in her hip! Poor Lambchop! She must have been very hungry and was either chasing chickens or getting into trash. We now think that she is a sheltie-terrier mix, but she is oh so cute! Her leg is on the mend and she is bearing weight on it. She is starting to run and play with the other dogs and LOVES toys. She also LOVES her humans. Her coat is like silk and she has filled out nicely.

Lambchop got a rough start in life, but could sure use a break now. A loving family would be just the ticket! We believe that she would be OK with kids and as long as she has lots of attention, would be good as an only dog or with other pets.

Lambchop is 5-6 months old and is fostered in the OKC area.

Oklahoma Westie Rescue will only adopt to applicants who reside within the following states: OK, AR, MO, KS and TX. If you live outside these areas OR if you have children under the age of 10, please do not apply for this dog.
