Lacey

Lacey is an active and silly one-year-old Golden Retriever/ Pitbull mix (according to her previous owner). She surrendered to us because her owner couldn't handle her energy. She is looking for an active adopter as she loves playing with her toys and going on long hikes. Lacey will need some obedience training to become her best self, but she loves treats and her ball, so it should be fun to train her. She is a sweet girl who is friendly with all humans. She previously lived with young kids and did well but is very strong so dog-savvy kids would likely be best. She will be spayed on 7/25, but we are accepting applications for her now. The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application here: medfieldshelter.com/adopt If a dog is listed on our website, they are still available for adoption, but there may be applications ahead of yours. We typically receive many applications for every dog we post. All adoption meetings are by appointment. Our dog adoption fee for dogs seven months to seven years old is $450. Every dog we place receives age-appropriate vaccines, is wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. Please fill out the adoption application if you want to be considered for a dog you see in our care. With few exceptions, dogs are happiest and well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families willing to commit to both.
