Kylie is adorable black lab, plotthound mix. She was born outside as a stray on July 4th. The momma dog, who looks like a pure bred black lab, wandered up to a lady's house in rural MO and had her pups. The lady is on disabilty and did not have the means to care for the pups. One of the puppies was snatched up and killed by a coyote in the last month. A rescue worker in MO was then contacted to try to help the puppies and her mom. It is getting cold, and the coyotes are going to start getting desperate for food. That is when we were contacted to take the puppies into foster homes until their forever homes are found. Kylie is approximately 21# and is very friendly and happy-go-lucky. Kylie is being fostered in a home with kids and other dogs so she is being well socialized. Kylie loves kids and is now enjoying 3 squares a day! She is working on crate training and house breaking. She will make a wonderful addition to any family. The adoption fee for Kylie is $325.
ADOPTION FEE: The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative.
ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org.
Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possibly. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at
[email protected]. It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
