Kylee was rescued in April 2023 just in time - at just 4 months of age, she was on the euthanasia list at a local kill shelter in Memphis, TN, unable to stand or walk due to injuries likely sustained from being hit by a car. Under close veterinary supervision, she slowly recovered in her foster home and is now walking, running and playing. While physical, and laser therapy and acupuncture have been helpful, Kylee still has sciatic nerve damage that is likely permanent - she is partially incontinent (urinary but one medication helps some), and she is able to control her bowels most of the time (with daily probiotics). She wears washable diapers to cut down on accidents in the house. She has adjusted well, and she is thriving overall in spite of her special needs; she is a sweet out-going young dog. She loves to play with her foster doggy siblings, and she is an absolutely joy! Kylee is also child friendly (foster's grandchildren are 3 and 5 years old).
Our grateful, sweet Kylee will need a very special home, and we know it won't be easy to find. But we are committed to her until that family comes along. She's worth it!
