My Story

Introducing: Kyle, Male | 50lbs | Neutered & UTD on shots | Good with dogs & cats FOSTER TO ADOPT PROGRAM - GTA Email [email protected] to get more info & start your application for our foster to adopt program! Background Kyle was found on the streets of Barbados and had a life threatening neck wound from an embedded copper wire. He needed surgery to remove it and quite a long recovery. That’s all nicely healed now and he’s 100% fit. At first he was quite shy, he’d been roaming the streets for a while. He’s much better now and gets very excited and happy when he see his people. Kyle was adopted earlier in this year but unfortunately due to his fear of the car his adopters decided he was not the right fit for their family so he is now back in the care of a foster family waiting to find his perfect furever family. Training & Activity Kyle is house and crate trained and loves to be outside! He is excellent on the leash but does enjoy stopping for a good sniff on his walks. He is a pretty low-maintenance boy in between his walks, preferring to snuggle on the couch or chew on his plush squeaky toys. Kyle is fearful of the car and will need on-going training to overcome this fear and build his confidence around and in cars. Ideal Home Kyle is a quiet boy and would do well in a condo with plenty of access to green space and frequent walks so he can be in nature - his favourite place! But would also thrive in a more rural setting or a home with a backyard and secure fence so he can explore to his hearts content. Due to his fear of cars and his car sickness, he would due best in a home that is willing to work through this fear and give him the support he needs to become more confident around cars. Summary Kyle had a rough start to life but you wouldn't know it! He has such a wonderful and loving personality and is truly a sweet gentle soul. While he can be a bit nervous of strangers and loud noises, he loves his people hard and is looking for a home that will give him all the outdoor adventures and indoor snuggles he deserves! FOSTER TO ADOPT PROGRAM Sea Paws Rescue’s foster-to-adopt Program allows approved applicants to take an animal into their home until the animal’s health is approved by a licensed veterinarian in Canada. Fostering with the intention of adopting an animal is a special situation. It is NOT an adoption or a routine foster care agreement. This agreement between yourself and Sea Paws Rescue allows the animal that you wish to adopt to live with you before the adoption is finalized. It means that the animal belongs to Sea Paws Rescue NOT yourself until the adoption has been finalized and all proper paperwork has been agreed upon. You are fostering with the intent of adopting this animal in the future. The animal will remain on hold/unavailable to other potential adopters. Most of these animals come from overseas and will be placed into our foster to adopt program if there are no concerns from the shelter they are coming from. What it takes to join our FTA Program: - Live in the GTA - Patience and ability to wait to be matched by our adoption team Apply here to Adopt http://seapawsrescue.org/adoptionApplication.html
