My Story

Kodiak Male, neutered Breed: Collie Mix DOB: 5/7/14, Age: 10 years old Weight: 42 lbs Sex: Male Neutered: Yes What was this handsome senior man doing at a shelter?! Poor Kodiak should be spending his remaining years in the comfort of a loving home, but instead his owners surrendered him and his sister, Aurora, to our partnering shelter in West Virginia when the family moved. Kodiak is the sweetest boy who just needs a calm household and a family that will love and accept his disabilities that are occurring with his old age. It appears that Kodiak has little to no hearing based on his lack of reaction to noises. His eye sight is also poor but he can make his way around his foster home when he is provided with enough light and guidance from his foster parents. He loves to be outside enjoying the nice weather and then likes to relax and sleep when inside. Kodiak does well with the three other dogs in his foster home because they are on the calmer side like him and they all give each other space. Due to his poor eye sight and hearing, he gets spooked easily so a home with older kids and calmer dogs would be best for Kodiak. Will you be the one to give this boy all the love and care he deserves? If you are interested in making Kodiak a member of your family and are already pre-approved, please private message our FB page.
