My Story

Cross posted only, for further info please contact: Heart of Michigan BMD Rescue/ReHome Committee Bruce & Linda Whiteside of Ortonville, MI. -- email: [email protected] or ph # 248-969-1960 ~~~ Koda is a purebred Bernese Mtn Dog. ~~ He was given up due to job loss. The former owners said they no longer have the money to care for him. ~~ Koda is a sweet, handsome Berner boy. While he will be 5 years old Nov 16, he is really a big goofy puppy at heart. He is an active boy who is very funny and loves to play, especially with other dogs! He likes other dogs and has no problem with another dog wanting to be ‘boss’. Very affectionate, Koda is also a big snuggle bunny and like to sit beside you on the couch. ~~ Koda is definitely housetrained. He is fine when left alone for 8+hours a day. His ideal home would be with someone who could devote time to playing with him. He would do best with older children (10 or older) who know how to act around dogs. He would LOVE to have a canine buddy that he could play with. He will definitely need a fenced yard. A little shy with new people and has a fear of some noises and storms. ~~ Koda is neutered, heartworm negative and up to date on his shots. ~~ Current Location: Koda is fostered at the Whiteside’s home in Michigan, and has been there for about 5 weeks.
