My Story

Kobe, a distinguished older dog at nine years of age, is mellow and quietly confident. A bit of grey on his chin hints at his age, but this handsome boy is still playful and outgoing, willing to play fetch until he collapses in a grinning heap with his ball between his paws. This little guy LOVES toys, especially balls, and if left to his own devices, he will bring all his little treasures to his bed and fall asleep on top of them. He likes walks (he’s a perfect gentleman on-leash) and he adores meeting new people. Kobe isn’t overly interested in other dogs (he definitely prefers humans) but he has great manners with them, particularly when he’s outside. He’s a little more cautious inside after living with a grumpy female in his last foster home. However, Kobe would have no problem sharing a home with one or more calm dogs. (He finds the puppy in his current home a bit obnoxious, but is always appropriate with him even when he has to give a reminder about personal space). Overall, Kobe is living proof that seniors make wonderful adopted pets. He’s a ready-made dog with no real “issues”. He’s house-broken, has wonderful inside and outside manners, and is independent enough to be left alone for normal amounts of time. Condo life would be just fine for Kobe as he’s perfectly capable of entertaining himself with his toys and stays calm and quiet. As his foster mom says, “Anyone who’s lucky enough to adopt this dog will be getting a catch…he’s just lovely!”
