My Story

Meet Kit Kit is a 12 week old, female mixed breed pup. She weighs approximately 18 pounds. She has some fluffy but wavy fur which makes us believe there is some poodle in her litter of puppies. It is also believed they have some border collie. Overall, Kit is a very sweet girl who melts into you when you pet her and climbs into your lap. She loves attention and is always very excited to see people. She loves kids. She also loves other dogs and has been in a foster home with five other dogs, two of which are her siblings and the other three are aged from 3-15 years old. She is sweet with all dogs. Unfortunately, she has not been around cats to know how she would be with them. Kit sleeps quietly in a crate at night with her siblings. They keep the crate clean at night. She has also been working on potty training and does not have many accidents inside. However, she is still a puppy and will require work to continue potty training and work to train her in general with commands. She behaves really well in the house except that she likes to grab the curtains. She has not walked a ton on a leash due to the heat but will easily adjust to it. Kit loves to stay cool and will choose to sleep on the floor typically over a dog bed. Overall Kit is a gem of a puppy. She is so unbelievably sweet and cuddly, overall well behaved and friendly. She would be a great addition to any home! Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. An application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee adoption but does allow us to begin the review process. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Safe Haven Dog Rescue reserves the right to refuse adoption of any dog or puppy to any applicant (adopter) for any reason. Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
