Kinsey is a beautiful 2 year old Bernese Mountain Dog that loves to petted and she gives wonderful kisses. Kinsey and her companions (Katey and Dooley) were picked up as strays and taken to the Animal Shelter in upper SC.
Being a big dog lessens their chance of survival at a Shelter so the calls went out to Rescuers for help. Kinsey and her friends are now in foster care and are looking for their very own family.
Kinsey is now living in the country. She is enjoying lots of high quality food, fresh water and exercising in the cool days of Fall. Kinsey is very thin and she now has the opportunity to gain some much needed weight.
It will be several weeks before Kinsey gains enough weight to be spayed. Kinsey weighs approx 50 pounds. For now Kinsey is enjoying being a free dog.
Kinsey has learned to take treats from her foster mom's hand. Though Kinsey is the smallest of the 3 Bernese Mountain Dogs rescued and she is the most out going. Kinsey is showing Katey and Dooley that there are people that can be trusted. People with soft voices and gentle hands who are kind.
Kinsey enjoyed her ride to freedom and gave lots of smiles and kisses as the miles passed.
She walks on lead without pulling. Kinsey has enjoyed the company of each of the dogs she has met at her foster mom's.
She is very attentive and this gentle natured intelligent girl will make a wonderful companion for her new family.

UPDATE: 11/27/2007
Kinsey went for her medical work today. She has gained 10 pounds in the last 5 weeks. Kinsey is a happy and healthy 60 pound Bernese Mountain Dog. Her coat has a beautiful luster now. It is amazing what high quality food, fresh water, less stress and exercise in the country can has done for this sweet out going "Little Mountain Girl".
Kinsey was Spayed, had her Rabies Vaccination, and Tested Negative for Heartworms.
Kinsey is now ready to be adopted.
