From Foster Dad: King is the perfect dog. He has the energy of a puppy when he wants to play and also sleeps through the night. This big sweet boy is so gentle with dogs smaller than him and does not snap when taking treats. He is SO SMART. Plays fetch really well, is always excited to go on a walk, and does a great job of catching treats in the air. He will sit quietly and let you brush him and did not cry once through a deep clean bath and blow dry. King is working on learning “no/enough” when getting scratches and pets and is catching on very well - he just loves love. He free fed for many years and is adjusting to scheduled feedings - no accidents in the house at all. He knows Sit, Stay, Wait, Go, and Easy (meaning gently take a treat). He would benefit from a family with a dog that wants to play or a very active family that wants to help him learn. He is incredibly eager to make you happy and takes direction well. He is all love and joy. He is was an owner surrender because his owner does not have time for him anymore and he recently has started digging in their vegetable garden. King is currently located in Houston, Texas and can be brought to Virginia for an approved adopter.
