***COURTESY POST***
Meet King!
King is a 2.5-year-old Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull mix that was surrendered to a vet's office with his dad Apollo when their owner could no longer care for them. When he came to the clinic in early 2023, King was found to have a terrible respiratory infection, as well as a severe problem with intestinal parasites. He was thin, had discharge from his eyes, nose, and mouth, and was overall not doing well. Luckily, the vet clinic he was surrendered to took great care of him, and he’s now healthy as can be!
King made his way into a foster home with one of our volunteers in late 2023, and has greatly enjoyed being in a home! Since being with his foster, King has shown he is a very sweet, active boy who absolutely LOVES receiving attention in any shape or form. While King may technically be an adult, he is very much a puppy in energy! He would make an amazing hiking or running partner, or even just a great playmate for another active dog! After a good play session, he's happy to spend the evening snuggled up with you. King is friendly with dogs, children, and humans of all ages! At this time, he has not been cat tested.
Think you could be the forever home that King is looking for? Apply to adopt through our website at www.lexpitcrew.org/adopt! King can go to a home with or without his dad Apollo, but would definitely benefit from having another canine companion in the home! While LPC cannot officially intake him at this time, we have agreed to help vet all applicants to find King the best forever home.
