My Story

KING! German Shepherd/Doberman mix less than 2 yrs old NEEDS FOSTER HOME! This is King. He is a male German Shepherd/Doberman mix and weighs about 66 pounds. He is almost 2 years old. He has been neutered, is current on shots, rabies vaccine and has been wormed. King tested Positive for Heartworms. He will start his treatment next month. Columbus Humane Society is taking care of King's medical bills until his final heartworm treatment which should be sometime in December. He was found out in the country setting of Columbus County and was dragging a chain along as he ran. This poor boy has probably been chained his entire life. He is very loveable and will give kisses and does not have any aggression towards people. The employees at the vet office in Elizabethtown said that they loved him. He is in an outside kennel at the moment, but we couldn’t leave him running loose. We would like for him to be an inside boy and have a home with a fenced yard for him to play in. We have a wonderful person that said she would go 3 times a week to where King is staying right now and walk him and also do some obedience training like sit, stay, heel, etc. What King needs right now is a foster or furever home where he can have more human contact and get used to being groomed and loved on. He deserves to be treated like a KING. If you are interested in fostering King or even adopting him, please contact: [email protected]
