Kia

This cutie is Kia- a 4 month old lab mix, who weighs about 25 pounds. Kia and her sister Lexus (also on our site), were found along with their mother walking along a highway on Arkansas. They are now in a foster home, and their foster mom says that the puppies are very sweet, calm and very smart. The puppies love to be with people, and enjoy when children come over to play with them. They can be a bit shy on first meeting, but warm up quickly. They get along well with other dogs. and are exercised by playing in a fenced yard. The puppies are housetrained with a pet door now, so the new family will need to be consistent and look for potty signals for continued successful housetraining. As a young puppy, Kia will need a family with the time and patience to continue her training, play with her, and include her in family activities. Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. Any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the South and will prefer to do their business outdoors. Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old and up.
