My Story

Kenzo continues to amaze us every day. He has been putting in all the work, hoping that is forever family is out there looking for him!! He is doing great with commands. He just about has them all down. He's extremely treat motivated and even more motivated for belly rubs. He loves to love and be loved. He's so gentle with his kisses and cuddles but watch out for his zoomies! He's really enjoying being outside in this weather and sometimes it takes a little convincing to get him to come in. He's doing great on walks and just needs more leash practice. He's doing so well on potty training and he's almost there! He will usually let you know when he has to go, he's just quiet about it. His ability to share space with cats is slowly progressing. If someone was willing to continue to work with him, he would do great. He genuinely just wants to be with you and have all your attention. He's been great around my preschool aged nephews and our female dog. I really hope someone sees him and just knows he'd be the perfect fit for them --Letter from Kenzo's Foster Mom Kenzo is available through Guardians of the Green Mile (www.gotgm.org) of Portage, IN. Application can be found here: https://www.jotform.us/form/43196636952162Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet from Guardians of the Green Mile Inc. We are a group of individuals that have come together to save the lives of animals that are in danger of being euthanized. We raise funds to fully vet the animals and to provide them with a stable home until they are adopted. All of the dogs in our Rescue are in Foster homes while they are looking for their forever family. The only time we put a dog in boarding is for a Foster to go on vacation if another Foster is not able to care for them. We appreciate your taking the time to fill out the application to adopt one of our Guardians of the Green Mile pets. The questions that we ask are to only find the right fit for all of our dogs and the families that will be adopting them. Adoption donation is $300.00 for dogs over 1 year old and $350 with a $50.00 spay / neuter deposit for puppies/dogs under 1 year old.
