**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. Meet Kenny, a 13-week-old Great Pyrenees mix up-for-adoption through Homeward Bound Dog Rescue of New York. Kenny is going to be a BIG, furry, adult dog of 100lbs.+ so we are going to be very choosy with the family that adopts him. This is a Livestock Guardian Dog breed mix and is not designed for city/suburban living. We are looking for a rural/farm-type setting for this big lug of a puppy or at least a country home with several acres. Breed experience with similar breeds of dogs is a big plus. These pups LOVE being outside a lot, eat quite a bit, and shed so the new owners should be prepared. Kenny has a lovely temperament—that big, long tail is always going at a slow wag—and new owners should be encouraged to keep him socialized a ton so he doesn’t get too protective. We are operating on a limited basis until further notice, but we are still adopting dogs out. We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
