Meet Kelsey! This beautiful and affectionate 1 year old Australian Shepherd is going to warm your heart when she greets you with her wagging tail and gentle kisses. She adores her people and loves attention from everyone, including children and strangers. Kelsey is deaf but because she's whip smart, she's been learning non-verbal cues quickly in her foster home. Kelsey walks well on a loose leash, is house trained, crate trained, and is learning how to play with other dogs at the dog park. She would love for you to play tug of war with her, but she's also happy whens she has a ball to chew on and play with on her own. Kelsey needs at least 2-3 hours of exercise a day plus plenty of mental stimulation to keep her mind busy. She is not the type of dog who will be content just hanging out in the backyard and therefore needs a home that can be with her most of the day. Due to the commitment required to give Kelsey her best life, her ideal home would be active, cat-free, have herding breed experience, and be willing to work with a deaf but very smart dog.
