My Story

NAME: KAZZ Sex: Male Color/Pattern: Black and White, 1 Blue Eye Breed(s): Shepherd Husky Cattle dog Mix Weight: 65lbs Size : Med Coat length: Medium-Short Age at intake: ~1 yr BDAY approx: June, 2023 Intake date : June 23 2024 Found date: late May 2024 Coat length: short Description Kazz is a mild mannered, superbly nice dog who is well behaved, handsome, tall and gentle. He has one blue eye and one brown eye and enormous upright ears. Personality Kazz is young and happy, but with an old soul. Kazz is the definition of sweet and affectionate, he gives plentiful kisses, and politely asks for pets on his head without being in your face. He is excited to see you without jumping up on you, greets new people nicely, and is gentle and has good manners. He understands and obeys, and seems to be able to predict what is expected of him even with new people and in new places. He was so easy from the first day in his foster home, as if he had lived there forever. He adapted seamlessly. He immediately got along with the other dogs and was submissive and playful with them. He went right into a dog kennel the very first time without being asked and was quiet and content all the first night. He didn't react when other dogs barked at him. What a star! He is well-socialized and doesn't have any bad habits, even for his young age. In fact even when he escaped because a hurricane took down the fence, he came right back home. First he went on a romp around the neighborhood with another foster dog, but then he just waited patiently by the back door for his foster people to come back home. He is also good with cats, as his finder kept him for a month with his 2 indoor cats before sending him to his new GNAR foster home. Background Kazz was found as a stray inside of an apartment complex in south Houston by the Astrodome. He was roaming for weeks and a resident started to feed him. Once finding that he was well behaved, he let him come indoors during the heat of the day and hang out with his cats. His first owner probably dumped Kazz because he had skin issues. When he was found he had a whole body rash that was bleeding from scratching it, but all he needed was flea medicine and some antibiotics. He healed up beautifully and was completely healthy again within 1 month. And even MORE handsome!
