Meet the life of the party - Katta!! She is looking for her forever family to celebrate her first (estimated) birthday on August 1st! I was found tied up as a puppy in November of 2023 with a fractured leg, with no sign that my human would come back for me. Luckily, a Good Samaritan was able to team up with a local vet to get the help I desperately needed. Since then my leg has healed, I am fully vaccinated and spayed! I'm a big foster sister to a tiny litter of puppies who I absolutely adore and take care of, and I love to play with dogs of any size. I'm the definition of a social butterfly at dog parks and breweries. My foster says I would do best with older kids given my size and energy. Want to win me over? Just give me a tennis ball! Those that have helped me the past few months tell me I LOVE to go on car rides and to have my chin stroked and belly rubbed. I do really well on a leash and know the commands sit, down and come. I'll willingly go into my kennel but will whine for a few minutes before I take a big nap. My foster leaves me in my crate while she's at work with no problems. She always comes home and plays with me after which I'm always so grateful for! Since black dogs are always overlooked, I've been waiting longer to find a family. The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
