Katrina has been adopted by Sid & family. So named after Hurricane Katrina, she is a lively little SharPei cross and
we think her Daddy was a Black Lab. She is medium energy and will
become mellow once she's past the puppy stage.
She is friendly with all dogs and people and is incredibly curious
about and playful with other animals (take a look at the
video of her in our goat pasture ! )
According to the Vet, she was born in approximately mid-October of 2009
and, as mid april at an age of 6 months, she weighs 33 lbs. We expect her
to top out at around 40-45 lbs when she reaches her full adult growth.
Katrina was found abandoned in a vacated apartment in Pasco, WA.
The apartment managers felt she was too cute and cuddly to be allowed
to go to the Pound, so prevailed on our Rescue to take Katrina in.
Katrina's adoption fee is $225. The fee partially covers the cost
of her vet care, vaccinations and microchip. It will also
help pay for her mandatory spay once she reaches six months of
age. She is presently being fostered in the Seattle area, but we
will gladly arrange transport throughout the Pacific NW for an
interested adopter.
