Kane
Kane, one of the many dogs ILDR+ has had to treat for heartworms, has completed his treatment and is now ready for adoption. He is a beautiful young Black & tan male, approx. 2 yrs old, with natural ears and LOTS of personality. Now that he is feeling better, he loves to run and play and is full of energy. Although a large male, he is still very much a youngster and isn't aware of his size and can be clumsy with those long legs; bumping into you, sitting on your foot and pretty much getting as close to you as possible. He loves to ride in the car and play fetch, even dropping the ball for you after returning with it. He does well with smaller, non-dominant females, but CANNOT live with cats. In his previous life, someone must have taken some time with him as he is completely housebroken, knows basic obedience commands (sit and down) and will heel on a lead. Taking a formal, refresher course, would certainly help his manners and reinforce his role in your family. Because of his activity level, he needs an active family, preferably with a fenced yard and with older children only.
