Kamerad was set out on a cold night and knocked frantically at a door to get inside. Luckily the family knew one of our fosters. He's safe and warm now with a full tummy. With a guesstimated birthday in May 2022, Kamerad weighed 47 lb at his vet visit in early Dec. Kamerad is a sweet, enthusiastic puppy. He greeted the vet team at his exam with kisses and tail wags. Kamerad can be destructive when left unsupervised. He doesn't like crating, but is learning to be content in order to stay in the house overnight. Although he's leash-savvy, Kamerad will pull to get to exciting things - which is pretty much everything :) He likes to ride in a car and we recommend he be tethered in the back for safety. No need for a big boy in your lap as you drive! ********** Whether dogs / puppies come in as strays or owner surrenders, we make our best guess as to birthdate and breed. For adult dogs, our adoption fee covers a standard canine vaccine, a rabies vaccine, and deworming if recommended by our vet. Adult dogs will also have current heartworm test. For puppies over the age of 14 weeks, our adoption fee covers the first 3 puppy vaccines. If the puppy is still in our care at 16 weeks, we will also provide the rabies vaccine. A vet reference is required only if you are adopting an intact dog over 6 months of age (or the age our attending veterinarian recommends for spay/neuter) to ensure future altering of the dog. A refundable spay/neuter deposit is required for intact dogs/puppies. Open Adoption Events for Foster Dogs are held on most Saturdays at Tractor Supply in Lenoir from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Open Adoption Events for Bunch Anderson Shelter Dogs are held every Saturday from noon-4:00 p.m. Please check our FB page for changes in Adoption Event Schedules. A scheduled Meet & Greet between Adoption Events may be possible by sending an e-mail to: [email protected]. We do not hold dogs. Fees are required in cash at Tractor Supply.
