Junebug came to us with her litter of seven puppies. She was a GREAT mom and is now looking for her forever family.
Junebug is crate trained, housebroken and knows sit and give paw. When she is out playing with the other dogs in her foster home, she will get the zoomies and race around the yard. Her favorite thing to do is to keep watch in the yard for any squirrels or birds that might want to enter, lol. While she does great with the others dogs in the house, we don't let her out with the Chihuahua because she can play a little rough. Because she is so fascinated with the squirrels and birds we don't think she would do well in a home with cats or small dogs (and for the same reason we feel she would do best in a home with a yard. Walking on a leash will be a bit of a challenge because of her prey drive). Junebug is very loving and smart and looking for her forever family.
Although we make the best guess on the breed and size of our dogs, because they come from shelters, we can never be completely certain of the genetic makeup of the dog. All we can tell you for sure is that they are 100% RESCUED!
Foster Home Location: Des Plaines, IL
Adoption Fee: $250 (includes deworming, microchip with free registration, age appropriate vaccinations and spay or neuter). Any donation above the adoption fee is appreciated and helps us continue to rescue dogs.
Please remember that puppies require a midday meal, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of playtime for the first several months. Make arrangements if needed to have someone visit midday, every day, if no one will be home.
To give them time to grow, we do not spay/neuter young puppies prior to adoption. However, it is required by law for all adopted dogs adopted from IL rescues and shelters to be altered. The cost of the surgery is included in the adoption fee if performed at a ROAR vet when the puppy is of proper age. Adopters may use their own vet at their own cost as long as proof of the surgery is provided by the due date.
To consider adopting, fill out an online application at: www.roar4dogs.org. This allows an adoption counselor to contact you for questions and to arrange a meeting for your family and the dog to meet.
Please remember we are an all-volunteer organization. If you do not hear from us within a week from sending your application, email us at [email protected] to remind us and make certain we have your application. We invite applicants in the order that we receive applications, so please send the application prior to emailing.
