Josie

Josie may look like a mixed breed but she acts just like a pure Boxer. She is full of energy and fun. She loves everyone and all dogs, and she thinks everyone loves her. She is only about 10 months old, so she has plenty of energy and love to give. She is pretty good in the house, perfectly house trained, and is now sleeping through the night. She does have a little apprehension about transitions, but generally adapts quickly. She is great in the car. She is still in her chewing phase, so she does need to be crated when you are away. She loves chewy treats and toys, going for walks, running, and playing chase with other dogs. She is still learning to walk on a leash because she was not made familiar wit them as a puppy. She loves to get petted and have her belly rubbed. She does jump up sometimes, but is quickly learning not to. She responds quickly to the "arms-crossed" method. She just wants your attention. She loves treats and knows how to sit, and she always comes when we call her. She knows her name very well. Josie needs a home with a fenced yard of at least 4 feet. We are also asking that her adoptive home have at least one other dog. Josie is a great doggie playmate. She would also be good with kids at least 6 years old. She is great with all kids, but might knock down smaller children. She has never shown any aggression or defensiveness, even when scared. Josie is so excited to find a permanent family. She has already had a lot of change in her life, and she is hoping that you will be the right family to give a forever home.

****Puppies and kittens will be fixed when they are 5.5 months old. When they are adopted younger than 5.5 months, they MUST be adopted in East Tennessee.
