We placed Jonie into a home in 2008 that was well suited for her and made her very happy. She went for walks, to the dog park to play with her friends, to the ice cream shop for Frosty Paws and for car rides. She had finally found her forever someone. Then her owner passed away suddenly after Christmas.

Hello!!! My name is Jonie. I am two years old and am a golden retriever mixed with sugar and spice and everything nice!!! (in other words we have no idea). I have these really cute little ears that sit on top of my head with a few extra sprigs of fur sticking out here and there, I have my own very special ears. I have a gorgeous golden retriever coat. I am a happy girl!!! And I love dog friends.

Here are some more interesting facts about me.

• I love petting and attention and treats. I love white bread for a snack. And you don't have to cut the crusts off!
• I love to take car rides with you. I have very good car manners.
• I am SO excited to see someone when they come home (and so excited to get outside!)
• I LOVE to run and play with dog friends! And I live with cats too. Most cats don't want to play with me but sometimes I try to so I don't mind having a cat for a playmate.
• On a hot summer day (and days that are not so hot) you can find me lounging in my kiddie pool - it is SO relaxing after a workout in the yard. (Pass the SPF-30 please!)
• I love the outdoors - but then I love to be inside hanging with my humans too, watching TV, etc. Decisions, decisions . .
• I love to watch the squirrels in the trees and let them know the only way I'll share my yard is if they stay up in the trees. So if you need a squirrel patrol . . . I am very well qualified.
• I am alert!!! If I hear a strange sound or see a strange sight that doesn't seem normal, I will let you know.
• I have a magnificent golden coat with no maintenance - it pretty much takes care of itself!! Everyone tells me I have movie star looks.
• I am a sweet natured and happy girl. Sometimes I look like I'm laughing I'm having such a good time. I also know how to work you with my pitiful look which I have mastered.
• I am most comfortable around adults and older kids. I love other dogs and have cat friends too! Do you think you are the person or family I'm looking for? If so, please let me know!!!
