His previous owner, due to unforeseen challenges, could no longer provide the care Judd deserved. Despite this upheaval, Judd remains a shining example of a well-mannered and intelligent companion. From the moment he arrived, it was clear Judd was a special dog. He knows how to sit on command, demonstrating his quick learning ability and eagerness to please. Training sessions are a highlight to Judd, who approaches each new lesson with enthusiasm. His gentle nature shines through as he carefully takes treats, endearing himself to all the shelter staff and volunteers. He has a remarkable ability to make friends, both human and canine. Currently, Judd shares his kennel with Tamara, another dog looking for a home. Their companionship is a testament to Judd's stellar temperament and easy-going nature. But then, Judd makes friends with everyone he meets. Judd has so many plusses. He crates well, and quietly, he rides super well, even without being crated or tethered. He may fall asleep sitting up on the trip though! Judd has been around horses and paid no attention to them, and he happily will follow you around and wait at the gate for you, until you come back for him. On hot days, he enjoys a cool drink straight out of the water hose, and then a nice rest inside on a comfy bed in the air conditioning. He is will behaved inside and out and is an all around mannerly boy, who deserves his very special family. He would be an ideal family dog - hanging out with the kids or adults, taking hikes, exploring new places, or just maybe a fun road trip. Whatever it is, he's ready to give it a try, as long as he's got you by his side. Judd is about 2.5 y/o and 60 lbs, up to date on all his vaccines, dewormings and preventatives.
