My Story

Hey there, my name is Joey, and I am a lovely German shepherd and Black Lab mix, born around 6/2004. My foster family has so many wonderful things to say about me, its good that I am so down to earth or I would have an inflated ego! I’ve been living with my foster parents since I was two months old, and within the first week I was potty-trained, learned how to sit, lie down, give high fives, come, and walk pretty decently on a leash. The only reason I still haven’t been snatched up by a forever family is because I suffered from food allergies that left me itchy and feeling miserable for a quite a while. Now, I seem to have grown out of the allergy, and I’m healthy and ready to find a wonderful family to call my own. I’m smart, so I love learning new things, I’m obedient because I love to please, and I’m tons of fun. I need a family that will have lots of time for me and who will include me in on their every day lives since I need plenty of interaction. I need to have stimulating games and room to run or I tend to get into a bit of trouble. However, I am a sweetheart and get along great with everyone, so come see me on adoption days.
