My Story

JOE. Hey, Joe! Whadya know? This year-and-a-half old is still a big active puppy. Joe is busy. There are people to meet, dogs to play with, aromas to smell, food to enjoy, and tricks to learn. Joe needs plenty of exercise, consistent structure, and solid leadership from the whole family. He is very trainable and driven to work. He handles well on a leash and loves regular daily walks to burn off his energy—he would make a great jogging partner or agility dog. Joe also needs a securely fenced yard for safe off-leash exercise and play. This special guy is a high-energy dog and will only be matched with a high-energy family. He likes other dogs, but would probably live best with a female who doesn’t mind playing hard. He likes his quiet crate when home alone, but he is a little too rambunctious to be placed with young children. He hasn’t met a cat, but if he did, he’d probably enjoy chasing it. Joe has completed a beginner obedience course, and he had so much fun, he wants to sign up for advanced obedience with his new forever family. For more information, contact Elaine at [email protected] or call 847-940-0499. Joe will be working hard on his obedience training sporting his new Dober Duds collar and leash kindly donated by Susan Evans in honor of Tango, Karen Kane's dog. Adoption Application
