Jetta

Jetta is a small, 5 month old brindle female. She is recovering from Demodex (non contagious) mange and a wound left from an embedded collar.She and her brother, Jordie, were left outside by themselves. While being ill and left alone has stunted their growth and socialization, support and safety in a caring family can help them overcome these issues. Jetta is a sweet and cuddly little girl. Jetta has discovered toys and hoards them now. She is crate and house trained and very patient with her sugar wraps for her neck wound and baths to heal her skin and coat. She naps on a big fluffy pillow near a heater after her baths and then snuggles up with her foster mom. Jetta has burst of energy and then long naps as she recovers, but she is a puppy and as she heals her energy level will likely increase. Jetta does well with the dogs in her foster home, but she needs slow, supportive introductions as she has not had the opportunities to develop confidence in social interaction. It just takes time, patience and practice and she will be fine. Jetta is a beautiful little girl who still has some recovery ahead of her, but she’s on her way now.
