Jet - I am at the Prison Training Program!

Hey there, paw-some humans! I'm Jet, your average hunk of a hound, and I've got a tail- wagging story to share, I've been on quite the expedition, and now I'm on the hunt for my forever home! Here's a little something I penned together with my pals over at the Prison Training Program: I'm a big goofball with a heart as large as my frame (although I've been shedding a few pounds on this health kick with my friends at the shelter and Prison Program!). They say my birthdate is around February 3, 2020 and I weigh about 80 lbs. I LOVE humans, especially when they come bearing treats. I am also kennel trained, but I prefer to be out and about exploring the world and sniffing out all the scents this world has to offer. Speaking of scents, my number one superpower? Using my sniffer! I can track down treats and human scents like nobody's business. Plus, I'm a professional fetch player. I know all of my basic commands and excelled in my training classes, though I may check out after a few minutes, been there, done that, you know? If you've got room for me to run outside, I am your guy! An apartment might cramp my style a bit, so a home with a yard would be paw-fect. I've been on a diet to shed some pounds so I'm all about that nourishing active lifestyle. Thanks to the Prison Training Program I am a well mannered hound who knows how to play by the rules. I'm super treat-motivated and my handlers say I am super reliable and connected to my people. I can get along with other canine pals, but I'm more of an independent guy. Cats are way too interesting and I prefer a feline free home. Older kids who know the deal with dogs? I would love to hang out with them! Now I know that we haven't met face to face yet, but if you give me a shot, I would love to steal your heart away! I have been patiently waiting for a very long time( I am one of the Shelter's longest residents!) And until then, I'll continue learning all kinds of great things and I can't wait to meet you. West Jefferson, Ohio #hsmcohio Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $150, Prison Dogs are $200, Puppies are $250, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $17, this fee is cash only. Adoption fees can be done using credit card or cash.
