My Story

Meet Jessie! Jessie came to CCHS at the end of June from a local farm. This sweet girl is 2 years old and weighs about 45lbs currently. We are not entirely sure of Jessie’s breed makeup, but we can tell you that she is 100% a sweetheart. Jessie has been adopted once, but was brought back within 2 days of adoption due to issues with the adopter’s cat. Cats aside, Jessie is super friendly and has a ton of love to give. With any rescue dog, training is highly encouraged to set you and your new pet up for success in the future. Apply for Jessie today! Approved applicants will be notified via email. Please check junk/spam folders for a response. The adoption fee is $125. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption. CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP. Our license is #268235-DS.
