Kate is a beautiful 2 year old Choc lab, maybe mix. Kate was in the worst shape of all the dogs there. She was very skinny and very shy! She was one of 7 dogs that were rescued from a basement in Eckhart, MD. They lived in this deplorable place their entire lives! Jenny, Kate's sister and Jenny's 5 one year old pups never were allowed to go outside and run in the grass or sunshine! In fact, when they arrived at The Ark of Hope Rescue and taken outside, they didn't know what to do! After 10 minutes or so they started to walk around, then one of them started to run and jump on the others, it wasn't long that they all joined in! It was enough to make you stand there and cry with happiness! Each dog has now been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and are now on the right road to being healthy!
