Jenkins

THIS DOG IS NOT AT THE LAWRENCE CO HUMANE SOCIETY SHELTER. THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING FOR A VOLUNTEER. Jenkins is a male Boxer or mix who is estimated at 2 years of age. Jenkins is quite the handsome boy, with his reddish fawn coat trimmed out in white. It is apparent that Jenkins has spent some time outside as his coat, though in good condition, lacks the luster of a dog who has lived inside. Jenkins, if not pure, is 80-90% Boxer and whatever else is in him, doesn't come through. The only reason he is being described as a mix is because he coat isn't quite as slick as a Boxer and his face and nose, though marked like a Boxer, doesn' t have quite the stubbiness we are used to seeing in Boxers. Jenkins does have the Boxer stance, the Boxer build and the Boxer personality, always play romping around you. He is a very quiet dog, hardly ever barking, and you almost forget he is around sometimes he is so quiet. He is good with other dogs and loves children. He is content to stay in an fenced yard with no attempts to escape and he loves to nestle into a crate or a dog house to take a nap. He is extremely well-mannered and obedient and would make someone a fantastic companion! His ears are natural and his tail has been cropped as you can see in this photo.
