We love Jellybean! And it's about time someone appreciates this special boy. He was adopted out from animal control,
then returned to animal control to be euthenized. Apparently he had chewed up the adopters home... he was there for
one month, and during that time, managed to be inflicted with one of the WORST home haircuts I have ever seen (owner
didn't like the dog hair around the house) had his dew claws removed, and LOST weight... I wonder if maybe he chewed
up the house because he was HUNGRY... these dogs need proper nutrition and plenty of chew toys and play time. He was
left alone for 12 hour days, this could also have contributed to the chewing. He is still very much a puppy, and he is
such a lovey. He needs work on the leash and with basic manners, so he should go to an adopter who has the time and
patience for a pyr puppy. He is 9 months old and very skinny, but big boned and tall. He is shaved, but we can see his
face has badger markings. The rest of his body so far is growing in as white hair. (the dark spots you see are his
skin) He will grow up to be a beautiful boy, he has been a sweet puppy with everyone he has been introduced to, so
far, no problems with other dogs or other animals. Jellybean is a diamond in the rough, a little time and love will go
miles with this pup.

About Us: National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) is not a shelter. We are a not-for-profit, tax-exempt coalition of Pyr rescuers and rescue groups. We save Pyrs and Pyr mixes across the country and place them in approved foster homes to learn how they will interact with your family. Every dog who is fostered or adopted makes room for another Pyr coming out of a kill shelter. NGPR dogs are fostered for a minimum of two weeks or more, spayed or neutered and fully vetted before placement.
NGPR will take back any dog who does not succeed in its new home. Many NGPR volunteers are members of the AKC breed club, adhere to their rescue guidelines for purebred Pyrs and apply these standards to the adoption of Pyr mixes as well. Visit www.nationalpyr.org to learn more about us, our mission and our breed.
