Jasper's Haircut - October 6 2009

Foster Mom Report - October 2009
Jasper is a gorgeous senior teacup poodle who arrived in our rescue as stray. Jasper is as light as a feather and is the ultimate arm or lap dog, He enjoys socializing with people and dogs, likes his little walks and fresh air, and is a very smart and amenable little dog. He is very calm and accepting and nothing in foster, shelter or car transportation has phased this tiny little fellow. He is quiet and well behaved – with a cute little bark he reserves for dog play and upon seeing big dogs outdoors and would be highly suited for condo life, as well as any home.
Everyone who meets Jasper falls for his diminutive charm and big brown eyes and thinks he will make a lovely, gentle companion who can be taken everywhere with ease.
As Jasper was a stray, and just in rescue, his foster mum is determining the state of his house training. He shows strong signs of learning to go to the door when he needs to go out and used paper when it was shown to him. His foster mom says he is a fast learner and seems to regret any tiny accidents. As Jasper is the right size for paper or kitty litter training, the latter will be tried. In any case, success is likely as Jasper is so bright and well behaved.
Jasper’s coat will require regular grooming as do all poodles. Before rescue, his hair became matted so his full curls will be shortened in the very near future so he can start to regrow a healthy new coat. His coat is very soft and curling and will grow in beautifully.
If you are looking for a gentle and loving little friend to sit on your lap or arm for gentle days of companionship, Jasper is the fellow for you. He loves to snuggle up and lay his head on your shoulder. Who could ask for a nicer little dog.
