Are you big dog savvy and able to handle strong and confident? I was born in June 2019 so I'm still young and energetic and needing someone to teach me boundaries. My name is Jasper and I'm at AGPR because my canine brother and I did not get along. So I resorted to digging my way out and running away. The volunteers at AGPR have been working with me on my manners. I get so excited to be with people that I like to jump up and give lots and lots of hugs...they are trying to teach me "four on the floor" and to wait to be invited up for hugs. It is tough...I so want to hug everyone I meet. But, I'm also food motivated, so I need to make decisions between hugs or treats. Now do you see my dilemma? My future home has to be CAT FREE and SMALL ANIMAL FREE. I just don't like or trust those small critters...they are tricky! And I'm not the best with dogs either - especially males. I am the dominant one and would be best in a home with very confident owners accustomed to working with very big independent thinking dogs. I'm not a city boy...I'm still growing, have lots of energy and need an owner willing to work on my manners. In return, they will have my unconditional love (unless someone else offers me a tasty treat). All Great Pyrenees require a fenced-in yard (at least four foot high).
